Hey there, fellow explorers! We’re excited to finally launch Trail Gals, a blog where science and adventure come together on every trail. If you enjoy hiking, geosciences, climate facts and uncovering the natural wonders of the Earth—or simply appreciate beautiful landscapes—you’re in the right place. Our goal is to share knowledge, experiences, and inspiration as we explore the outdoors. We hope you’ll join us on this journey!


So, who are we? Just friends who can’t deny going on a good trail, love looking at fossils, or a breathtaking view, and most importantly, can't resist being outdoors. Whether we’re trekking up mountains, getting lost (on purpose), or geeking out over rock formations, we’re here to share our experiences with you. Expect hiking stories, fun science facts, travel tips, and all the unexpected wonders nature has to offer.

But why "Trail Gals" exactly? ... we are girls.. and we like to hike lol. Jk, we decided to start this as we are very ambitious and think we can handle doing this on top of trying to get good grades at uni. This blog will grow with us as we learn and as we share, so be kind; if you have any suggestions or constructive criticism, let us know by sending a comment/form or sending us a little dm on instagram!

This is the atmosphere – a dynamic, ever-changing system that's been silently supporting life for billions of years...well, thank you dear! It is retained by Earth's gravity, so that it can stay with us and most of its mass (~98%) is below  ~ 25km.
